THE BUTLER BRIEF

Tuesday, October 27, 2026 · Morning Edition · Verified 4:03 AM ET

Today’s Weather

Areas of fog before 9 a.m. give way to mostly sunny skies today in West Chester Township, with a high near 73 and light, variable wind. Tonight turns mostly cloudy, with a low near 51 and calm wind. Allow extra visibility room on the morning drive.

Roads

Yankee Road remains closed just north of Hornet Drive in Lemon Township and Monroe for turn-lane, storm-sewer, pavement-marking and signage work. Through traffic should use Todhunter Road, Salzman Road and State Route 63; the Butler County Engineer’s Office expects the road to reopen November 20, weather permitting. The new Monroe High School driveway is accessible only from the south on State Route 63.

Coverage Note

This Morning edition is intentionally limited to facts confirmed from official sources at publication time. No unverified event, sports, school-closing or market claims are included; readers should check the linked agencies for changes later today.
